Top competitive league cricket has been played on one of the best playing arenas in the North West for over 100 years, here at Parkgate on the wirral.
During this time, the club has hosted many top flight games, including County teams, Minor Counties, representative matches and even the England Ladies cricket team!
We have two very good wickets with a fantastic view from the balcony of the new clubhouse, looking towards the welsh hills with Parkgate in the foreground. It is possibly one of the best settings for cricket in cheshire.
Neston Cricket has produced many players who have gone on to win top honours in the game, the most famous being Ken Cranston. Ken played for and captained Lancashire and England in 1947/8 against the all conquering Australians. As well as host of Cheshire age group games we also provide players from Under 11 to Over 60!
The club runs four senior men's teams on a Saturday, a Sunday Academy League as well as an Over 40's side and junior sides from Under 9 to Under 17! The 170 junior section is particularly strong with many qualified coaches. Strong emphasis is put on junior enjoyment and development.
