We are saddened to report the death of Keith Jackson.
Keith was a stalwart of the Neston cricket team in the 60’s 70’s which enjoyed huge success in the Liverpool Competition. Although Keith was perhaps better known as a defensive hockey player( he won over 100 caps for Lancashire & played all his hockey for Northern Crosby) he was well known on the Wirral as a superb batsman & excellent slip fielder at Neston.
He was primarily an opening batsman but played anywhere in the top order as required by his team. He scored many hundreds for the club & was an integral member of the most successful cricket team the club ever had winning the Competition in 1965, 69 & 70.Keith's funeral will be held on the 24th September at 11am at St Nicolas Church, Burton, CH64 5TG, followed by refreshments here at the Club
