Thursday Group raise fantastic amount for local charity

On Thursday 20th April The Thursday Group organised a charity lunch to raise funds for local charity, Maggie's.

The group raised a grand total of £1,400 which will go towards helping Maggie's provide free cancer support and information in centres across the UK and online.

Pam Garner, Thursday Group lead, said "It was a very social, happy occasion and well worth the effort for the outcome we achieved. We have raised an amazing £1,400 which is absolutely wonderful considering food & other costs had increased significantly. Jenny Wooley, Hilda, Margaret Robson and Jenny Jackson did a fantastic job in the kitchen. Thank you all again."
