Hockey success for Neston U14 Boys

Having won all their qualifying games in the area league, Neston qualified for the finals of the England Hockey Tier 2 Northwest Finals held on Sunday 24th April at Lancaster University. The team comprehensively beat Bolton 5-0 in the semi final and then overcame a strong Timperley team in a thrilling final that ended 2-0 for The Pinks. Our boys are therefore EH Northwest Champions.

Adrian Harle coached the boys throughout this season and said that "This is a team of players that have come through the ranks of junior hockey at Neston over the last 5 years. It's wonderful to see them enjoying their hockey so much and reaching their potential".

These boys also formed the backbone of this year's successful Neston Badgers team that completed the season having won all of their 14 matches, scoring 98 goals and conceding only 7. Adrian Harle, again, "The boys have played with skill and as a team all season and have been relentless when in front."

It's a healthy sign for the club to have this talent coming through the system - Seniors beware!
